Position Summary:
Republic Mediais seeking a Sr. Sales Manager  We are Arizona’s most trusted news source, and offer a wide variety of products and platforms to meet our customer’s needs.   As an integral member of the organization’s leadership division, this person will be responsible for making recommendations to enhance our competitive position in the marketplace.  The selected candidate must also have the proven ability to define, develop, and assist in coaching our high-performing teams. The position reports to the Classified Ad Director.   Responsibilities include: Directs, provides leadership, motivates, oversees activities, etc. of assigned staff and ensures compliance with departmental and company policies, procedures, and standards of performance. Directs and oversees teams to meet/exeed revenue and sales goals, increase sales/market share and enhance customer satisfaction. Develops and manages the department operational and planning efforts and develops and presents business plans to senior management.  Assesses and monitors market conditions and sales performance and creates, adapts, implements and communicates strategic and tactical plans to achieve desired results and initiatives.  Negotiates with and establishes, builds, and maintains relationships with key customers.  Partners and collaborates activities with other departments.  Prepares, monitors and ensures the department operates within the budget.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years newspaper experience with at least three years in senior newspaper leadership. Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word Ability to effectively manage and develop others and direct the operations of the department.  Ability to meet/exceed sales/revenue goals and to identify new opportunities and create sales solution Knowledge of digital product applications as they relate to advertising opportunities. Excellent understanding of sales compensation programs.
